Katrina Kaif, who had just last month confessed to being lonely, is grinning ear to ear nowadays. And there’s a reason for it. It’s her new love which she’s found online.

Kat’s new love is online shopping. Since she can’t just saunter in a shopping mall and buy stuff without the risk of being mobbed, she’s now enjoying e-shopping which allows her to buy things of her liking and that too without any invasion of her privacy.“Yes I’m in love….I’ve fallen in love with… online shopping! Believe me it gives me the pleasure to do what I just can’t in Mumbai – to buy stuff without being stared at or people approaching me,” Katrina is quoted as saying in a tabloid report.

Her discovery of e-shopping has changed a lot for Kat. Earlier, she used to depend on her sisters and mom to buy things for her home. Now, she’s picking up stuff like decorative items and home accessories herself.

Katrina Kaif has proved that she is more than just a glam doll, as the actress earned rave reviews for her role of a politician in Prakash Jha’s ‘Raajneeti’.

Katrina, who is seen in a de-glam role in the film, has won praise for her acting prowess as per the reviews of the film.

Talking about her performance in ‘Raajneeti’, acclaimed critic Taran Adarsh said: ‘Katrina Kaif is first-rate. The sincerity and earnestness shows in every sequence. She sheds her glam doll image and transforms into an actor with this film.’‘Katrina has often been synonymous with candy floss roles but with ‘Raajneeti’ she is out to prove that she is here for the acting. In the film she plays a character whose life changes dramatically and she handles it well. Additionally, her beauty doesn’t overshadow her performance,’ said a trade analyst.

Katrina to feature in AR Rahman’s videos

For the first time, Katrina Kaif is all set to shed her hot glamorous image for a sober role. Katrina will appear on the small screen in the image of a charity worker for Oscar winner A.R. Rahman’s latest music album.

She will feature in three music videos with kids. According to the source, Rahman’s composition is incorporated from famous nursery rhymes, such as ‘Jack and Jill’ and ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’, to inspire/ educate kids. It will be a real rare treat to see Katrina Kaif on the small screen.

As always, this experiment with nursery rhymes by the Mozart of Madras is expected to come with fresh and original notes. This time, he is launching a new vocalist too.

Katrina adopts leopard cub

On January 2010, a 15-day leopard cub was spotted in Devankhedi village near Bhopal and rescued by a team from the national park Van Vihar. The villagers named the cub Katrina because they felt that she was ‘beautiful and silky like Katrina Kaif.’

Katrina learnt about this and she made enquiries with Van Vihar, saying that she wanted to adopt the leopard. When contacted, Van Vihar’s assistant director AK Khare said Katrina Kaif had indeed expressed a desire to adopt the rescued animal.

He also said that Katrina’s assistant had called him saying that she was willing to adopt that leopard. He expressed that, “It would be great if she does. However, let me clarify that the leopard cub, which Katrina Kaif is ready to adopt, is spelt as Catreena, not Katrina. At this point of time, the animal is housed in our zoo.”Explaining what Katrina Kaif would require to do for the process of adoption, Khare said, “We have different rates for different animals. Katrina will have to pay Rs 50,000 annually. I have yet to hear from them, but I have informed them of the entire procedure. Besides paying Rs 50,000 per year for theleopard, Katrina will also have to fill up a form and duly sign it.”

The stunner, who is yet to get her Hindi dialect right, is already leaping across other languages as she has fallen in love with the various Indian regional dialects. After confessing her fascination for Bhojpuri, the foreign raised beauty is now gearing up to mouth some traditional Punjabi lines.

Surprised? Well you are bound to be. Story goes that Katrina, who has often been flaked for her anglicized Hindi, is going all out to prove her critics wrong. And the stunner plans to do this by not only speaking Hindi perfectly but also other languages like Bhojpuri and Punjabi.Confirming the news a source said, “Katrina is very serious about her pronunciations. She will be seen speaking traditional Punjabi in her upcoming movies. She will be assisted by her co-stars for the same.”

As for who will Kat turn to learn Punjabi, is a matter worth observing. Nevertheless with actors like Ranbir Kapoor and Akshay Kumar, we doubt if Kat will be short of options.

In fact the leading lady Katrina Kaif will be seen throughout the film, sharing the screen space with each and every actor.After having worked with such a dynamic and talented starcast (out of which maximum stars are National Award winners), though each actor is a marvel in his own capacity and no comparisons can be drawn, yet, one can’t resist asking the lanky lass as to who her favorite actor among the pack is and also whose character she found the strongest and best in the film.
Without being diplomatic and goody-goody, Katrina answers with utter honesty, “I think Nana Patekar’s character is best. He’s an awesome actor. Katrina Decorates Her Car Seat with Her Favorite Cartoons

Bollywood star Katrina Kaif says her favored seat in her car is the left rear one, and she has decorated it with stickers of her favorite cartoons.
Katrina’s favorite cartoon is The Aristocrats and her reference point for her character in Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan is one of the cats from the cartoon serial. And if you think that’s a lot of cats you ain’t seen nothing baby.

Katrina Kaif’s car reflects her love for the cartoon character as well as speaks tonnes for the state of mind she is currently in.

The left rear seat is surrounded by small stickers of all that makes her happy…she calls it her ‘happy space’.

“When I was dubbing for Raajneeti, the little urchins on the road recognized my car when it stopped at a particular signal and would insist I buy stickers from them,” she explains with a smile.

Not only did she buy them she decorated her happy space with them and now they are the source of a lot of joy for her.

For a girl who is feted every day and who can buy anything that money can, Katrina has obviously learnt that happiness and money have very little to do with each other.

Down to Earth Katrina

Celebrity and Taxi??? Sounds weird but yes the Lux beauty Katrina Kaif just did that recently.

Katrina was supposed to fly to Bangalore for a promotional event of her upcoming movie “Raajneeti”. Her driver did not show up and she was getting late for her flight. The driver got stuck in the traffic jam and Katrina was getting late.

Not willing to miss the flight, she took matters into her own hands. She took her luggage along and hailed a cab to the airport. Even as the taxi whizzed past the routine morning traffic, the cabbie stole a glance in the rear view mirror only to find Katrina Kaif as his passenger.

Finally she arrived at the airport in time to join Ranbir Kapoor and director Prakash Jha and did not missed the flight. This is something very rare but it proves the level of commitment of Miss Kaif towards her work and her down to earth attitude.
